This year our festive efforts have gone into responding to the reverse advent calendar challenge that was set for the local community by the West Lothian Foodbank.
Christmas can be a difficult time for many, especially for those living on a tight budget. With increased winter fuel bills alongside seasonal pressures many will find themselves in food crisis. To help minimise the pressure the reverse advent calendar challenge aims to ensure that no one in our local community goes without a Christmas dinner this festive period.
For 24 days, from 1 November until 24 November, we asked our team to donate an item daily from the list below and place it in a gift wrapped cardboard box.
We are delighted to have delivered eight Christmas boxes, packed full of goodies to bring some festive cheer as Ryan Johnston, Commercial Director (pictured) adds: “We hope that our donations will make this Christmas just a little bit easier to celebrate for the recipients of our reverse advent calendar gift boxes.”
