WORKS
Our soil mixing team has recently completed the in-situ soil treatment of the existing soils across an area previously utilised for a sludge lagoon. The soils were treated to allow the bulk excavation of the soils, so they could be placed across various locations within the project. On completion of the bulk excavation works the construction of new sewerage settlement tanks will be constructed by Black and Veatch.
KEY PROJECT CHALLENGES
- Our team created a thorough and detailed plan to ensure they could maintain access to the existing treatment area. This allowed deliveries for the normal day-to-day operation to continue uninterrupted, allowing our client to maintain its service to its end-users.
- Our access on the treated cells within the treatment area was limited to short windows of opportunity, and therefore our team worked very closely with the client to plan and prepare for each phase of work. This approach helped to mitigate any delays and ensured that our client could maintain their normal level of operation.
PROJECT BENEFITS FOR CLIENT
- Volumes of materials recycled/re-deployed on the site: 18,000m3
