We invest in our Scottish expansion

We have revealed our latest new plant machinery worth over £1 million, to underpin our plans for expansion to larger commercial premises and signals further investment and growth for our business.

The latest new equipment provides a boost to the extensive plant machinery fleet that we own and control, and it increases the scope of the projects our team can work on using our innovative GDL Turbojet system.

We have invested in a High Pressure Triplex Group Pump which is the first of its kind to be introduced to the UK, and a SR45 Drill Rig that has been specifically imported from Italy to work on our Walney substation project in Lancaster.

This significant investment in plant machinery will help GDL to maximise the capabilities of its current and extensive in-house fleet of plant to fulfil a range of new and existing contracts as Kevin Mackenzie, Commercial Director adds: “Our latest investment in plant significantly demonstrates both our investment, willingness and our capability to provide our services throughout the UK.

“We’re constantly looking at ways in which we can deliver innovative ground improvement techniques in the UK, and we’re leading the industry in the UK in our advances using our Turbojet DSM.

“This investment also comes at a time when we’ve secured new premises that will see us take ownership of a 24,000 sq ft commercial business space adjacent to junction 4A off the M8.

“Our new facility will provide bigger and better offices, as well as space to maintain and store our fleet of plant machinery, as well as a central location that offers our team easy access to our clients’ ground improvement projects across Scotland, as well as south of the border.”
